Directions

in a bowl mix your baking soda and sea salt (epsom salt) until combined well. Add few drops of your favorite essential oil (lavender to relax, eucalyptus and tea tree oil for congestions and sinuses - for more benefits check below)

Pour slowly small amount of water and mix until you get a consistency of a wet sand - sticky but not too wet.It should hold together when squeezed.

Push mixture into the silicone molds or small cupcake molds (lined with cupcake paper) and press firmly.

Leave to dry for 24-48 hrs. Store them in airtight container.

When ready to use, place one at the bottom of your shower, preferably under the water stream, facing you, and it will start dissolving and aromatizing your shower.

Benefits

Combination of eucalyptus and Epsom salt (contains magnesium) in the steaming shower is very helpful during colds, congestion and sinus problems. Magnesium improves breathing and boosts the immune system while eucalyptus has antiviral and antibacterial properties and helps decongest nasal passages and sinuses. Rosemary provides relief from colds, flu and sore throat, and also has anti stress activity (decreases cortisol levels in the body).

Of course, you can use other essential oils like: orange, lemon, bergamot - for your morning shower - to help you wake up and feel fresh and energized, or add lavender to support sleep at night.
